Budget validation

Budget validation is the check that a proposed procurement action has appropriate budget context before it advances. Depending on policy and architecture, the check may use available funds, planned amounts, cost centers, projects, accounts, or approval thresholds. A validation can inform routing or stop an exception, while the ERP remains authoritative for agreed financial records.
